Community Service Opportunity

WSBL -Sunshine Youth Basketball  is offering community service opportunities for students that are interested in helping out in the following areas:
· Scorekeepers – Students will volunteer their time on weekends (and possibly some week nights) to keep the scorebook and clock at games. Training will be provided and students that exhibit proficiency may be able to earn money in the spring and summer at various tournaments in the central Florida area.
· Coaching – Students volunteer to coach youth league teams (grades 3 – 8). Training will be provided. Good communication skills are necessary. Games are on weekends, and coaches are expected to practice once a week. Background checks and coaching certification class is required. The WSBL will provide both at no charge to the student.
· Gym Monitors – Students will be available for weekend games to help supervise gyms. This is offered for seniors only. Training will be provided. Good communication skills are a must.
· Camp Helpers – Students will assist our summer camp coaches. These positions are available during the months of June and July.
